Product Uses, Sources & Applications

Ozone, a naturally occurring molecule, is produced in the upper atmosphere through ultraviolet radiation of atmospheric oxygen. In industry, ozone is produced from ozone generators to be used as a disinfectant and/or chemical agent in applications such as:

  • Food and drinking water treatment
  • Waste water treatment
  • Mold and bacteria inhibition in cold storage
  • Bleaching of textiles, resins and oils in manufacturing facilities and pulp and paper processing
